How to add a file comment to a track and why you should
Sometimes a brief will require you to add a file comment on the track you submit, and other times this feature comes in handy if you feel like giving some context to your track, explaining a lyric, or noting important details about the track relating to the project.
Please note: File comments aren’t meant to replace information that should be included in works or metadata.
How do I add file comments to my track?
- Click on ‘Projects’ on the left-hand side.
- From the drop-down menu select ‘Pitched On’, then select the relevant project title
- At the top of the page, select the ‘Submit Files’ or ‘Files‘ tab (what you see depends on whether you’re in a pitch or submission project), then click on the ‘Audio’ tab.
Clicking on the track will open a text box for you to write your comment in, and then all you need to do is type your comment and hit enter on your keyboard to add the comment.
To edit your comment you’ll need to click on the pencil icon, and if you want to delete it, click the trash icon.
You’ll be able to tell which tracks have comments, and how many there are by the speech box icon with the number next to it.
Feedback is left via comments, so if you’re a higher-tier user, you will receive your feedback this way. Find out about feedback here
